Introduction: Selective attention and misunderstanding of body image can lead to anxiety. The aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness of interpersonal psychotherapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy on loneliness caused by body image in women referred to cosmetic surgery centers.
Materials and Methods: The present study is a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest with a control group. The statistical population of the study was all women aged 23-40 years who referred to beauty centers in Mashhad, 45 of whom were selected by random sampling in three groups of 15 people. Then an anxiety questionnaire was administered and sessions of two treatments were performed. At the end of the post-test sessions.
Results: Research has shown that cognitive-behavioral method is more effective than interpersonal psychotherapy on the feeling of loneliness in women referred to cosmetic surgery centers.
Conclusion: The best sign for cosmetic surgery seems to be a lack of self-confidence with a tendency to social interaction and an extreme focus on a particular physical feature. The effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral therapy in reducing body image anxiety can be due to the important role of mental interpretations and behavioral habits on anxiety. Improving the state of perception of the body in a person with anxiety reduces the selective attention to a point in the body and thus reduces anxiety.

Background and aim: Body image is complex concernincluding biological, psychological, internaland external social factors. The purpose of this study was to copparison of the effectiveness of interpersonal psychotherapy and congnitiye - behvioral therapy on body image in women referred to cosmetic surgery centers.Materials and methods: This experimental study was a post-test pre-test by control group. The statistical population of all women in Mashhad who had referred to women's cosmetic surgery centers 1398. 45 were randomly placed in three groups (interpersonal psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy and control). The data gathering tool was multidimensional body-self relations questionnaire (Cash, 1997). content validity was used and their reliability was estimated through Cronbach’s alpha. SPSS20 software and descriptive and analytical statistics (covariance) were used to analyze the data.Results: The analysis of covariance showed that interpersonal psychotherapy had a positive and significant effect on body image satisfaction (P <0.05). congnitiye - behvioral therapy had a positive and significant effect on body image satisfaction (P <0.05). results of post hoc test indicated that both training methods interpersonal psychotherapy and congnitiye - behvioral therapy, there is no significant difference in post-test scores (P > 0.05).Conclusion: Considering the significant effect of methods interpersonal psychotherapy and congnitiye - behvioral therapy on the body image satisfaction , it is suggested to use this two method to increase women’s body image satisfaction.

Background: Family performance is one of the most important indices warranting the family life quality and psychological health and shows family’s coping skill against distresses, conflicts and problems. So the present research seeks to study the efficacy of an education based on schema therapy in married women.Materials & Methods: the present research was quasi experimental study with pre- and post- tests and control group. Statistical society was Tehran 5th district family counseling center married women’s clients. Sample size was estimated 30 persons with G*power software. Volunteers through available sampling after considering inclusion criteria were randomly assigned into two experimental and control groups. Family performance in both groups assisted by Mc Master Family assessment device (FAD) (1960). The experimental group received 13 educational sessions based on schema therapy. After the training and one month later, the participants completed again the questionnaire. The data was analyzed by means of spss software version 24 and MANCOVA at a significant level of 0.05. Results: analysis by MANCOVA showed family performance in experimental group after education were significantly different compaired to control group (p<0.05).Conclusion: the results of this research showed significant improvement in family performance in experimental group compaired to beginning of the survey. So education based on schema therapy was effective on family performance.
